Kepribadian Ganda

Kepribadian ganda adalah kondisi di mana seseorang memiliki dua atau lebih kepribadian yang berbeda. Kepribadian ganda umumnya disebabkan oleh pengalaman traumatis yang pernah dilalui. Kepribadian ganda sering disamakan dengan skizofrenia, tetapi sebenarnya kedua kondisi ini berbeda. Penderita skizofrenia tidak memiliki banyak kepribadian seperti pada penderita kepribadian ganda. Walaupun begitu, kedua kondisi ini bisa menyebabkan penderitanya melakukan percobaan bunuh diri.

Pemicu Kepribadian Ganda

Meskipun penyebab kepribadian ganda belum diketahui secara pasti, tetapi beberapa penelitian menyebutkan bahwa penderita kepribadian ganda memiliki pengalaman traumatis yang berulang-ulang di masa kecilnya. Pengalaman traumatis ini bisa berupa penganiayaan, pelecehan, baik secara fisik maupun emosional, pola asuh orang tua yang membuat anak merasa takut, peperangan, dan bencana alam. Selain itu, kepribadian ganda juga rentan terjadi pada orang yang keluarganya memiliki riwayat kepribadian ganda.

Gejala kepribadian ganda, antara lain

● Memiliki dua kepribadian atau lebih

Penderita memiliki lebih dari satu kepribadian, bahkan bertolak belakang. Salah satu kepribadian bisa mengambil alih kontrol tubuh dan pikiran penderita kapan saja. Ini Biasanya dipicu oleh situasi tertentu ketika penderita merasa stres, takut, atau marah. Dalam istilah psikologi, kepribadian lain disebut alter ego.

Saat kepribadian ini mengambil alih kesadaran, penderita akan menjadi pribadi lain dengan nama, usia, jenis kelamin, atau sifat yang berbeda, bahkan tidak menutup kemungkinan penderita merasa dirinya adalah seekor hewan. Pada periode tersebut, perilaku penderita akan tampak berubah. Mereka bisa melakukan sesuatu yang tidak biasanya mereka lakukan. Perlu digaris bawahi, kepribadian ganda tidak berkaitan dengan suatu ritual budaya, seperti kesurupan.

● Mengalami amnesia

Penderita alter ego kerap mengalami amnesia terhadap peristiwa tertentu di masa kecil atau masa remaja, terutama kejadian yang membuat trauma. Penderita juga bisa lupa kejadian yang baru berlangsung, informasi penting yang mendasar, kemampuan yang telah mereka miliki, bahkan mereka kadang bisa lupa bagaimana dia bisa sampai di suatu tempat.

Hal yang Dapat Dilakukan Sedini Mungkin

Kepribadian ganda mungkin tidak disadari oleh penderitanya. Jika Anda melihat munculnya dua atau lebih kepribadian yang berbeda pada seseorang, coba ajak berkonsultasi ke dokter spesialis jiwa atau ke psikolog terlebih dahulu. Deteksi dini dan penanganan yang tepat dibutuhkan untuk mencegah penderita melakukan hal yang bisa membahayakan dirinya maupun orang lain.

Salah satu cara pencegahan kepribadian ganda atau alter ego adalah dengan menghindari situasi yang membuat penderita tertekan. Jika seorang mengalami kejadian yang membuatnya trauma, segera bawa ke dokter spesialis kejiwaan. Dokter akan membantunya untuk menyikapi ingatan traumatis itu dengan cara yang positif.
