NERS NEWS — Surabaya, February 8, 2026 – M. Rizqi Hidayat, a student of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga, was officially inaugurated as the Chair of the AIPNI Student Forum (Association of Indonesian Nursing Education Institutions), an organization that brings together nursing students from various institutions across Indonesia. This inauguration marked part of the leadership regeneration process within a national-level student organization focused on strengthening the capacity and strategic role of nursing students. In his leadership, he stated that the organization’s development would focus on strengthening the forum’s role as a platform for student aspirations, coordination, and the sustainable and systematic development of nursing students’ capacities.
To achieve these goals, several strategic initiatives have been planned, including mapping students’ needs and aspirations as the foundation for developing work programs to ensure that activities remain relevant and targeted. In addition, a regular coordination and evaluation system will be established so that each division has clear objectives and can objectively assess its performance achievements. The utilization of technology and innovation in program implementation is also a priority in order to enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency amid the ongoing digital transformation. Furthermore, strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders, both internal and external, has become a key focus in expanding opportunities for nursing student development at the national level.
In its implementation, the management also emphasizes the importance of building an organizational culture that is open, supportive, and appreciative of each member’s contributions, thereby creating a productive and conducive working environment. Moving forward, the AIPNI Student Forum is expected not only to carry out administrative programs but also to make measurable contributions to students, educational institutions, and society. The organization is also expected to support the development of nursing students who possess competence, integrity, leadership skills, and concern for public health issues. These efforts are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education.
