The educational activity, which was part of the School Health Unit (UKS) Working Group in the Community Nursing Rotation, was conducted under the guidance of Mus’adah, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., as the clinical supervisor, as well as the academic supervisory team consisting of Neisya Pratiwindya S, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Setho Hadisuyatmana, S.Kep., Ns., M.NS (CommHlth&PC)., Ph.D., and Dr. Elida Ulfiana, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., along with direction and assistance from the teachers of SD Mabadiul Ulum. The activity began with an opening and a pre-test completed by the students, followed by the delivery of materials on the definition of healthy and safe snacks, their characteristics and examples, as well as steps for choosing healthy and safe snacks through the “Look, Choose, Check” principle. The students appeared enthusiastic and actively participated throughout the educational activity.

In addition to the lecture method, the education was also conducted through singing a children’s song with lyrics modified according to the principle of choosing snacks, namely “Look, Choose, Check,” to help participants remember the steps for choosing healthy and safe snacks through an engaging and enjoyable method. The event continued with a group game called “Safe and Dangerous,” in which each group was given cards containing pictures of examples of healthy and dangerous snacks, and each group was then asked to sort the cards according to their respective categories. This game aimed to measure the participants’ level of understanding in choosing healthy and safe snacks for consumption according to the materials that had been delivered, packaged in an enjoyable method. The results of the game showed that most participants were already able to choose healthy and safe snacks using the appropriate steps. The event continued with the distribution of door prizes to students who demonstrated active participation throughout the activity and were able to repeat the materials that had been delivered.
This activity also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
