The PKRS activity was conducted through lectures and question-and-answer sessions using leaflets and posters. The material covered the definition and causes of hypoglycemia, warning signs and symptoms, initial management, and preventive measures to avoid hypoglycemia during hemodialysis. Participants followed the activity well and actively engaged in the discussion session.
The activity was held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), in the Hemodialysis Unit on the first floor of Universitas Airlangga Hospital. The discussion also addressed the importance of recognizing the signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia, providing appropriate initial management, and understanding which conditions require further treatment by healthcare professionals.
This PKRS activity is related to:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being — through improving patients’ and families’ knowledge of recognizing, managing initially, and preventing hypoglycemia during hemodialysis.
- SDG 4: Quality Education — through the provision of health education that helps patients and their families acquire knowledge they can apply in daily care.
The PKRS activity proceeded smoothly and according to the planned schedule.
