The program was implemented through lectures, demonstrations, therapeutic communication, and small-group facilitation, enabling participants to engage actively and comfortably. This activity was an implementation of the Self-Esteem Education Lesson Plan (SAP) and the “Plane of Hope” Group Activity Therapy Plan (SAK TAK) developed by Group A7 of the 2026 Wave 2 Clinical Nursing Practice (PKK) Program, Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga.

The activity was motivated by the importance of addressing low self-esteem and social isolation among clients with mental health disorders, conditions that can lead to decreased self-confidence, social withdrawal, and reduced quality of life. Through the educational session and group activity therapy, participants were expected to develop self-acceptance, build healthy social relationships, and improve their self-confidence and overall quality of life. The program also supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, particularly efforts to enhance mental health and well-being, as well as SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities through the empowerment of vulnerable groups within society. Overall, the activity was successfully conducted and demonstrated that educational approaches combined with creative group activities can serve as effective tools in supporting clients’ psychosocial recovery.
