Monitoring and Evaluation of the 19th Cohort Master of Nursing Program, Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga

NERS NEWS — On Thursday, June 18, 2026, the 19th Cohort Master of Nursing Program, Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga, conducted an in-person Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) session. The meeting was led by Dr. Yulis Setiya Dewi, S.Kep., Ns., M.Ng. and attended by students of the 19th cohort as part of the program’s ongoing academic evaluation and to provide updates on various academic matters.

During the session, students were informed that following the completion of the International Nursing Conference (INC), they were expected to promptly submit their full papers and begin consulting their full-text manuscripts with their respective academic supervisors Sriyono, Vice Dean I, also reminded students of the importance of maintaining formal communication with lecturers, regardless of how close their personal relationships may be, as a reflection of professionalism and academic ethics.

Students were also informed that enrolling in the thesis course during the third semester could be considered only if they were academically prepared. Regarding the fast-track program, it was explained that implementation was unlikely to proceed this semester because the Rector’s Decree had not yet been issued. One of the primary obstacles is the unmet requirement for a Scopus-indexed publication by the second semester.

During the evaluation session, concerns were raised about student attendance, as many participants were absent, with Arya being the only student who had submitted an official leave request. Students were once again reminded to maintain respectful attitudes and professional conduct toward all lecturers, including those who are known for being approachable and friendly.

Administrative matters were also discussed during the meeting. Internship attendance records must be scanned and submitted to Mrs. Rena through a dedicated Google Drive folder for each group. In addition, students were informed that there would be no changes to thesis supervisors.

Regarding academic expenses, all payments to thesis examiners and expert consultants must be processed through Mrs. Rena. The honorarium for thesis examiners not funded by the faculty during the pre-proposal examination is IDR 300,000 per examiner. Likewise, expert consultation fees are IDR 300,000 per expert, with the requirement that at least one expert consultant be involved.

The meeting also addressed academic outputs. Students were reminded that any books or modules produced as part of their academic work must obtain an ISBN and be published through a publisher registered with the Indonesian Publishers Association (IKAPI). Furthermore, all thesis outputs, including prototypes, modules, and websites must be registered for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) through a lecturer’s account. The IPR registration process is free of charge, and students’ names will remain listed as contributors to the intellectual work.

Through this monitoring and evaluation session, students were expected to gain a clearer understanding of academic policies, administrative procedures, and research output requirements, enabling them to complete their studies in accordance with institutional regulations while producing high-quality scholarly work.
