NERS NEWS — Alumna of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga (Unair), has once again achieved an accomplishment at the global level by being accepted into the 2026 International Nurse Development Program Scholarship to Austria. This achievement was announced during the Departure Ceremony of the 2026 International Nurse Development Program Scholarship, which was held in Tangerang on Sunday, June 7, 2026, as the official send-off event for participants prior to their departure to Austria.
The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Austria to the Republic of Indonesia, the Directorate General of Promotion and Utilization of Overseas Employment Opportunities of the Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI), Universitas Binawan, Universitas Airlangga, and Universitas Padjadjaran. This program is the result of international collaboration that provides opportunities for Indonesian nurses to develop their professional competencies and gain work experience within Austria’s healthcare system.
Through this program, participants will receive training, language skills enhancement, and practical experience to support career development at the global level. The participation of a Faculty of Nursing Unair alumna in this program is expected to inspire other students and graduates to continue improving their competencies and contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian nurses in the international arena.
