NERS NEWS — The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga, once again held an Entrepreneurship Bazaar at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga field. This annual three-day event aimed to equip nursing students with an entrepreneurial spirit (nursepreneurship), develop their business skills, and build networks with the community and local MSME entrepreneurs.
The event featured various booths run by student groups and MSME tenants, offering a wide range of products, from innovative food and beverages to accessories. Through direct interaction with visitors, students were encouraged to test their business ideas, develop adaptive marketing strategies, and practice real-world problem-solving skills.
The bazaar involved nursing student groups, the organizing committee, lecturers, administrative staff, and local MSME entrepreneurs. Held at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga field, the event attracted more than 300 enthusiastic visitors who explored the various booths and appreciated the creativity demonstrated by the students.
The entrepreneurship bazaar focused on developing essential soft skills, including teamwork, structured division of responsibilities, and student economic independence. In addition to fostering a nursepreneurial spirit to help future graduates compete and adapt in the modern era, the activity also supported the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
“We greatly appreciate the high enthusiasm of the visitors and hope to participate in similar events again in the future,” said one of the MSME participants at the bazaar.
The conclusion of the event provided nursing students with valuable and rewarding learning experiences. It is hoped that this activity can continue to be held as a tangible contribution by the institution toward developing independent, creative, and entrepreneurial healthcare professionals.
