NERS NEWS — Saturday, May 23, 2026 — The Faculty of Nursing organized an interactive seminar entitled “Jurnal Ners Scopus Camp Series 2026” at the meeting room of Southern Hotel Jemursari. The event invited various academics, including lecturers and researchers from different universities in the fields of health and nursing, to attend and gather together. The participating academics shared a common goal: to improve the quality of journal publications and scientific articles to be produced at both national and international levels.
The seminar was held over two days, on May 23 and 24, 2026, to provide broader coverage and understanding of the materials presented. On the first day, the speakers delivered a session on “Introduction to the Manuscript Clinic”, presented by several lecturers from the Faculty of Nursing: Prof. Dr. Nursalam, M.Nurs. (Hons); Prof. Ferry Efendi, S.Kep., Ns., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Dr. Ilya Krisnana, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep.; and Rifky Pradipta, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep. They are not only lecturers but also academics who are actively involved in research and publication. The materials presented went beyond basic concepts and definitions, covering manuscript development strategies, the use of AI and Big Data in research, high-quality articles from an editor’s perspective, and the responsible use of AI in writing and publication.

On the second day, the organizing committee conducted a practical “Manuscript Clinic” session on a smaller scale by dividing participants into several small groups. Each group was guided by Faculty of Nursing lecturers who served as mentors during the second day. This activity was designed to assess participants’ understanding and provide direct training under the guidance of experienced mentors, enabling them to be better prepared to produce Scopus-indexed scientific papers after the program concluded. At the end of the event, the organizers presented follow-up plans regarding the submission of articles prepared by the participants. Finally, the seminar concluded with a group photo session led by Dr. Laily Hidayati, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., who served as the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the event.
This two-day seminar represents a tangible form of support from the Faculty of Nursing for Universitas Airlangga’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program. Among the 17 SDGs adopted by Universitas Airlangga, this activity strongly supports Goal 4: Quality Education. The event not only encouraged participants to attend and listen but also actively involved them in discussions and hands-on training related to the “Manuscript Clinic” material. Through this program, it is hoped that outstanding researchers capable of producing Scopus-indexed scientific publications will emerge, ultimately contributing to the advancement of education in the fields of health and nursing.
