NERS NEWS — On Friday, March 13, 2026, a Hospital Health Education (PKRS) activity was carried out in Inpatient Room 6 of the Airlangga University Hospital (RSUA). This activity was conducted by the Nursing Professional Students of the Faculty of Nursing, Airlangga University, as part of their professional practice aimed at improving patients’ and families’ knowledge about health.
The counseling topic presented was Prevention and First Aid Management of Heart Failure. The material covered the definition of heart failure, risk factors, warning signs and symptoms, preventive efforts through a healthy lifestyle, as well as first-aid measures that can be taken when symptoms of heart failure appear.
The health education session ran smoothly and effectively. Participants, consisting of patients and their families in the inpatient ward, appeared enthusiastic, actively listened to the material, and engaged in the question-and-answer session. This reflects their interest in and need for information related to heart failure and proper management steps.
Through this PKRS activity, it is hoped that patients and families can improve their understanding of heart failure, recognize early symptoms, and know the preventive measures and initial management steps that can help reduce the risk of complications and improve the patient’s quality of life.
This report is made as documentation of the implementation of the health education activity.
