
NERS NEWS – The Student Outbound program between the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga, and the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya concluded on the fifth day of activities, 15 May 2026, in a warm and memorable atmosphere. The closing ceremony served as a moment of reflection for both students and lecturers after completing a series of academic programs and experience exchanges at Universiti Malaya.
During the closing event, students presented the experiences, knowledge, and insights they gained while participating in activities at Universiti Malaya. They also provided feedback and impressions regarding the learning methods, academic culture, and international experiences they encountered throughout the program.
In addition to the student presentations, lecturers from the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga shared their impressions and messages with Universiti Malaya. They expressed appreciation for the warm welcome, academic collaboration, and the valuable, memorable experiences afforded to both students and faculty during the program.
The implementation of this program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through the sharing of experiences on the fifth day, the knowledge acquired abroad did not remain with the participants alone. Inclusive knowledge transfer occurred across the entire academic community. This is a concrete step toward supporting quality education and expanding global partnership networks.
Representatives from Universiti Malaya also gave a warm closing address. On that occasion, they expressed their pleasure in hosting students and faculty from the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga, and conveyed hopes that the institutional partnership will continue to grow in the future.
The closing event took place in a spirit of camaraderie and marked the end of the Student Outbound series, which not only provided academic experiences but also strengthened international ties between the universities.
